Primaries: Republicans after Maine, Before Super Tuesday
The outcome pales next to the delegate counts to come from tomorrow's "Super Tuesday" primaries, but Maine's Republicans preferred Mitt Romney.
Maine Republicans finished their three days of municipal caucuses yesterday, and Mitt Romney appears to be the beneficiary, according to TheGreenPapers.com.
Maine Republican delegates look this way:
- Mitt Romney (10 delegates)
- John McCain (4 delegates)
- Ron Paul (3 delegates)
- Mike Huckabee (1 delegate)
- available (3 delegates)
At the moment, the running totals appear to be:
- John McCain (102 delegates)
- Mitt Romney (69 delegates)
- Mike Huckabee (27 delegates)
- Ron Paul (11 delegates)
- Fred Thompson (11 delegates)
- Duncan Hunter (1 delegate)
- available (16 delegates)
Maine Democrats haven't done their thing yet.
