You might consider the Walnut Shrimp, but I get the impression you could throw a dart at the menu, order whatever it hits, and be just fine. I had a quiet business lunch at American Fork's China Isle this afternoon. It's at 323 South 500 East, and it's been there a while, but this was my first time. It will not be my last. The service was competent and pleasant without being overbearing. I didn't pay much attention to the ambience; I was distracted by the business and the food. There's a long list of lunch specials under $7.00, and most are under $6.00. Dinner entrees are mostly between about $8.00 and $10.00 (give or take a nickle). Three of us ordered, then decided to eat family style, so we could try everything. General Tao's chicken was excellent -- that's one of my personal benchmarks for a Chinese restaurant, even if it isn't really authentic Chinese food, or so I'm told. The lemon chicken was tasty, too. One of the party is a regular there and swears that the Walnut Shrimp is the best thing on the menu; at the very least it's definitely in the running. I'm eager to go back.
