Monday, August 29, 2005Noteworthy Writing on IraqHere are two good pieces about Iraq from The Weekly Standard. First, Christopher Hitchens is by no means a conservative, yet his article on the war in Iraq is entitled, "A War to Be Proud Of." As part of a larger discussion, he lists ten benefits of the US-led effort there. Second, back when the 9/11 Commission was meeting and preparing its report, almost anyone with an IQ in at least the upper two digits could see that the Commission's concerns and purposes were more political than objectively investigative. Recent discussions of evidence never considered in the report underscore that. Here is one more fairly interesting piece of the puzzle.
