Tuesday, March 22, 2005The Weird Arts in American Fork, RevisitedLast September in this blog I held forth on the arrival of a psychic who had just set up shop on Center Street, just south of Main Street in American Fork. (See A New Psychic in American Fork.) Now I see that that establishment has gone; it has been replaced by a more conventional establishment, Bert's Water Works. (All together now: "Does yours?") This change will probably make downtown a little less likely to convince some folks that we are collectively on the high road to perdition, but I doubt that it is the miracle we apparently need to get the city's elected officials off dead center and caring (in more than just words) about rehabilitating our downtown while it's still possible.
