On Splitting the Alpine School District

The Provo Daily Herald recently published the best, most sensible discussion I have read so far of the merits of splitting the Alpine School District. Its author was Allen Lambert of Ithaca, New York, whom I knew when I lived there for nine years. He is a seasoned school board member and a very bright fellow. He spent part of his life in Utah County, so he's not just a stranger intruding with his opinions.

I went to the Herald's marginally functional Web site to get a copy of the letter, but there weren't any letters available at the site on this occasion. (No, I don't suspect a conspiracy.) Perhaps I can get him to let me post a copy. Stay tuned.
